The person behind the network
Dan Swenson
I'm Dan Swenson. My day job is representing injured workers in Minnesota workers' compensation cases. Everything on this network is a hobby, and the honest reason it exists is that I'm a data nerd.
Reading dense documents is what I do for a living, and I kept noticing the same thing outside of work: the facts that decide whether you overpay for a funeral, win a hail claim, or owe a tow bill are already public. They're sitting in NOAA's radar archive, the Department of Labor and Industry's nightly license file, IRS Form 990s, the FTC's rulebook. They're just published in a form nobody would voluntarily read.
So on nights and weekends I pull that data, check it, and build the tool I'd want if it were my house or my parent. I try to cite the source on every number so you can check my work, and to say plainly when the data can't answer your question.
These sites are not law firm marketing and I'm not your lawyer. They do make a little money: some retailer links are referral links, and a few PDF packets are paid. That's disclosed at the point it happens, it never changes what the free information says, and no business has ever paid to rank or look better here.
